Open Question: Can I reimburse myself health insurance cost from my company?
We used to have individual health insurance, and I would pay for it out of my own company (an S Corp). When we got insurance through my husband’s employer, I stopped reimbursing myself.
He is paid for by the company, and then it costs extra to add myself and our child.

I was just going to deduct health insurance premiums on our Sch A, but we don’t have enough other medical expenses to meet the limit.

Is it ligit to go ahead and reimburse myself the amount that it cost for the health insurance? Then it would be a business expense. Thanks.

Open Question: Why would anyone want to be a conservative/republican? Isn’t democratic party’s ideologies the obvious ones?
Historically, the Democratic party has favored farmers, laborers, labor unions, and religious and ethnic minorities; it has opposed unregulated business and finance, and favored progressive income taxes.Today, Democrats advocate more social freedoms, affirmative action, balanced budget, and a free enterprise system tempered by government intervention (mixed economy). The party believes that government should play a role in alleviating poverty and social injustice and use a system of progressive taxation. American liberals commonly reject both laissez-faire capitalism and socialism as means to distribute economic resources. A mixed economy, that is a capitalist free market economy with limited government regulation and intervention is seen as the ideal.Liberals believe that government action is needed in order for people to be as free as possible. Government must thereby ensure the provision of positive rights, protect civil liberties and ensure equality.

When Cons ideas are more like “who cares about the poor people”, they emphasize the role of free markets and individual achievement as the primary factors behind economic prosperity. To this end, they favor laissez-faire economics, fiscal conservatism, and the promotion of personal responsibility over welfare programs. The party opposes a government-run single-payer health care system, believing such a system constitutes socialized medicine and is in favor of a personal or employer-based system of insurance(??). And they also oppose, obviously, abortions and same-sex marriages and are in favour of death penalty, gun ownership, racial/ethnic profiling, and obviously wars. Some are even skeptical of global warming!

It’s a good thing that most of US are democrats, isn’t it?
